On June 3, Meituan Instant Buy unveiled a comprehensive report detailing the initial consumption trends of the 618 shopping festival. According to the report, from May 28 to June 1, sales volumes across more than 50 diverse categories, encompassing Baijiu, craft beer, mobile phones, sports shoes, clothing, complete computers, and smart devices, witnessed a remarkable surge, doubling or more compared to the same period last year. Notably, Baijiu sales soared nearly 19-fold, while smart devices recorded an over 8-fold increase. Leading brands and retailers such as Huawei, Xiaomi, Decathlon, Little Genius, Lego, Wumart Supermarket, and Waima Wine Delivery saw their sales double in multiple categories, including alcohol, 3C electronics, and sports goods, with over 800 brands participating in this remarkable growth.
