Reuters reports that data from market intelligence firm Sensor Tower reveals a significant decline in the daily average user count for Temu, the global discount e-commerce platform owned by Pinduoduo. In May, the number of daily active users in the United States fell by 58%. This development poses a considerable challenge for the e-retailer amidst the ongoing China-US trade tensions. Previously, the White House terminated a rule that permitted Chinese companies to ship low-value packages to the US duty-free, leading Temu to reduce its advertising expenditure in the American market and adjust its order fulfillment strategy.
