Effective June 13, 2025, Google Wallet will discontinue support for payments made through PayPal accounts in the United States, and will automatically unlink any associated PayPal accounts. Prior to this change, starting April 11, 2025, users will no longer be able to link new PayPal accounts to Google Wallet, though existing linked accounts will remain functional until June 13. Google has yet to disclose the precise rationale behind this decision. Additionally, after June 13, users will lose the ability to access transaction history for previous payments made via PayPal within Google Wallet. This modification is specific to users in the United States; Google Wallet users in other regions, such as Germany, will still be able to link PayPal accounts as usual.
