Microsoft has officially announced that support for the older Teams Classic 1.0 version will terminate on July 1, 2025. To ensure uninterrupted service, users are urged to upgrade to the latest Teams 2.0 version. Furthermore, beginning mid-April 2025, Microsoft will enforce a new policy mandating that any Teams client that has not been updated within 90 days will automatically be blocked from accessing the service. This policy is anticipated to be fully implemented by mid-May. To facilitate a smooth transition for businesses, Microsoft has issued pertinent notifications and made available an automation tool designed to expedite the upgrade process for enterprises.
