The global sportswear behemoth, Adidas, released a statement on Tuesday, warning that the tariff policies of the Trump administration will necessitate a hike in prices for all its products sold in the US market. Despite reporting a substantial 155% surge in profits to €436 million in the first quarter, Adidas noted that ongoing global trade disputes have hindered its ability to raise its full-year earnings projections. Presently, the unpredictability of tariff rates, coupled with the location of its primary suppliers in East Asia, Vietnam, and Cambodia, renders it impossible for Adidas to pinpoint the exact magnitude of price increases.
