Boeing finds itself in a precarious position as Chinese customers have halted aircraft deliveries due to heightened tariffs imposed by the United States on China, further straining its already fragile financial state. The aerospace giant has recorded losses for six consecutive years since 2019, amassing a deficit exceeding $35 billion. The year 2025 is pivotal for Boeing's business revival, and the company aims to alleviate financial pressures by ramping up production of the 737 MAX and divesting parts of its digital aviation segment, including the profitable Jeppesen subsidiary. Nonetheless, Boeing's market share in China has been overtaken by Airbus, which intends to boost aircraft deliveries to China in the coming years. Additionally, the emergence of China's Commercial Aircraft Corporation (COMAC) and its C919 aircraft presents a formidable challenge to Boeing's market dominance.
