According to data from the Value-Added Tax Invoices issued by the State Taxation Administration, enterprises nationwide witnessed an 11% year-on-year surge in machinery and equipment procurement in the first quarter, a boost attributed to the government's large-scale equipment renewal policy. Additionally, the trade-in policy for consumer goods spurred the growth of home appliance retail sales, with retail sales of household audio-visual equipment, including televisions, rising by 29.3%, and sales of daily household appliances such as refrigerators increasing by 38.4%. Furniture retail sales grew by 15.9% year-on-year, and notably, retail sales of mobile phones and other communication equipment, which were newly incorporated into the policy, experienced a significant 27.3% increase.
