CRRC has recently announced that two prototype CR450 Electric Multiple Units (EMUs) successfully completed production at the end of 2024 and are currently undergoing type testing on the Beijing Railway Loop Line. These trials are anticipated to be followed by operational assessments on the main line during the second quarter, with the aim of refining the compatibility between the EMUs and critical systems, including track lines, power supply, and signaling. The commencement of commercial operations will be contingent upon the successful progression of these tests.
