On November 3, CATL delivered its first EnerQB unit to Quinbrook. With a capacity of 5.64MWh, the unit will be shipped to the Stanwell Power Station in Queensland, Australia. The equipment is developed based on the TENER long-duration energy storage system and is specifically designed for Australia's 3GW/24GWh long-duration energy storage project. This marks the first time an energy storage system with more than 8 hours of duration has been deployed in a GWh-scale scenario, signaling that lithium-battery long-duration energy storage is moving from demonstration pilots toward scaled application. The two parties have signed a cooperation agreement to advance the project pipeline, and EnerQB units will be delivered successively. The equipment has a design life of 25 years, a system round-trip efficiency of more than 96%, and an annual availability of more than 98%. Under operating conditions of 25°C with one charge-discharge cycle per day, the 24-hour auxiliary power consumption rate is less than 1%.
