China's first complete set of intelligent welding equipment for pressure steel pipes in ultra-deep vertical shafts has been commissioned at the Songyang Pumped Storage Power Station in Zhejiang Province. Independently developed to meet the extreme working conditions of narrow and deep shafts in deep underground engineering, the equipment fills a critical gap in automated welding of high-strength steel pipes in ultra-deep vertical shafts and enables integrated full-process operation for pressure steel pipe installation. Its welding efficiency exceeds that of traditional manual welding by more than 65%, while the one-time pass rate of welds reaches 99%.
