On November 2, the inaugural CMG World Robot Mount Tai Climbing Competition kicked off in Tai'an, Shandong. The Unitree G1 Developer Edition—the same model that appeared at the Spring Festival Gala—competed as the entry from Yongda Zhicheng. During the event, the robot overheated, prompting the operator to withdraw for safety reasons. Staff carried it down the mountain on a stretcher, and it did not finish the competition.
