On October 27, Ricoh issued a statement that it will establish a production base for inkjet-printed perovskite solar cells at its Ricoh Industry Northeast base in Miyagi Prefecture. The company plans to achieve an annual production capacity of several hundred megawatts by 2030, with future expansion to the gigawatt level. This plan has been selected for Japan's GX (Green Transformation) supply chain development support project.
