As reported by the Financial Times, Toyota is gearing up to assert its dominance in the global robotics arena. As the world's foremost automaker, Toyota is revamping its production lines to keep pace with Chinese manufacturers and broaden its business scope. The ambitious plan includes the deployment of 400,000 robots, an annual investment of $6.4 billion in factory automation, and the formation of a specialized robotics team headed by its Chief Production Officer. Furthermore, Toyota has successfully launched Waldon Robotics as a separate entity, attracting $300 million in funding and reaching a valuation of $1.1 billion. Its in-house-developed humanoid robots, Eley and Cue7, have already showcased their capabilities in various scenarios and are now operational in North American factories.
