On September 1, the "Provisions on Promoting the Innovative Development of the Brain-Computer Interface Industry in the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone (Draft for Public Comment)" were released for public input. According to the draft, the Shenzhen Municipal Government intends to orchestrate and strategize the establishment of significant scientific and technological facilities, including those dedicated to brain analysis and brain simulation. Additionally, it plans to develop scientific and technological health infrastructure, such as repositories for human brain tissue. The government aims to innovate operational management systems, enhance open sharing, assessment, and incentive mechanisms, and furnish public services to support the growth of the brain-computer interface industry. Simultaneously, it encourages leading enterprises to form innovation consortia to undertake core technology research, mergers and acquisitions, and other initiatives to drive the innovative advancement of the brain-computer interface sector.
