LG Energy Solution announced that it has signed a binding multi-year off-take agreement with Smackover Lithium to procure battery-grade lithium carbonate. According to the agreement, Smackover Lithium will supply LG Energy Solution with 8,000 metric tons of battery-grade lithium carbonate annually for the next 10 years. It is reported that Smackover Lithium is a joint venture between Standard Lithium Ltd. and international energy company Equinor.
