On August 19, the ZQ-3 Yao-2 carrier rocket soared into the sky from the Dongfeng Commercial Space Innovation Test Area. As planned, the rocket's first stage made a triumphant landing at the ZQ-3 landing site in Minqin County, Gansu Province. This achievement stands as a significant milestone in China's pursuit of key technologies for reusable rockets. The ZQ-3 has etched its name in history as China's inaugural carrier rocket to not only reach orbit successfully but also accomplish land recovery. This remarkable rocket, boasting a stainless-steel structure and powered by a liquid oxygen-methane engine, is distinguished by its high payload capacity, cost-effectiveness, and reusability.
