Since its first appearance in April 2025, the release of the NVIDIA RTX50 SUPER series graphics cards has been plagued by multiple delays. These setbacks stem from the impact of the AI boom and fluctuations in memory cycles, leading to even rumors of the entire series being scrapped. Currently, all eyes are on the RTX5070 Ti SUPER. According to speculation, this graphics card will see its memory capacity expanded from 16GB GDDR7 to 24GB, marking a significant 50% increase. This upgrade is aimed at enhancing the high-resolution gaming experience and boosting performance in AI applications.

When it comes to the GPU chip, the RTX5070 Ti SUPER is expected to retain the specifications of the RTX5070 Ti. However, its power consumption is projected to rise from 300W to 350W, and there will also be an uptick in the GPU core frequency. Although the memory bandwidth remains steady, the larger memory capacity will mitigate instances of memory shortages when utilizing advanced features like DLSS and ray tracing at high resolutions.

In terms of pricing, due to the escalating prices of DRAM, the RTX50 SUPER series is anticipated to experience a price hike. Nevertheless, NVIDIA is poised to keep the increase in check to ensure that the price of the RTX5070 Ti SUPER does not exceed that of the RTX5080. Regarding the release schedule, the latest intel suggests that NVIDIA might officially roll out the RTX50 SUPER series graphics cards towards the end of 2026 or early 2027. There's a strong likelihood that they will make their debut at the CES show in early 2027, though the actual availability in the market might be delayed.
