Over 60 Organizations Unite as a ‘National Team’: Satellite Communications Working Group Launched in Beijing

Under the auspices of the Information and Communications Administration of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Satellite Communications Working Group of the Industrial Internet Consortium has been officially established in Beijing. Headed by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT), this newly formed group gathers more than 60 satellite companies, telecom operators, and other relevant organizations. The working group aims to create a platform for industry exchange and collaboration, expedite the advancement of key satellite communications technologies, foster technological innovations—such as non-terrestrial networks—nurture an open and collaborative industrial ecosystem, and contribute to the development of China as a manufacturing powerhouse. Going forward, the working group will encourage collaborative innovation among industry, academia, research institutions, and application sectors to support the high-quality growth of China’s satellite communications industry.
