On July 1st, the 6G industrialization verification pilot platform was officially inaugurated at Shanghai’s 6G Communication Intelligence Valley, signaling the foundational establishment of an innovation closed loop for Shanghai’s 6G industry. This pilot platform is designed to optimize the process from “design—prototype—mass production,” acting as both a “bridgehead” and an “accelerator” for 6G industrialization in Shanghai and nationwide. It aims to propel enterprises towards transforming technology into products and samples into commodities. Presently, the platform has been integrated into Shanghai’s pilot platform reserve, with a focus on four key areas: intelligent modules, new terminals, space-air-ground integrated network equipment, and intelligent robots. It will offer comprehensive services to streamline the essential step of market-oriented mass production of scientific and technological achievements. China has concluded the initial phase of technical trials for 6G R&D, with over 300 critical technologies in its arsenal, and has recently commenced the second phase of technical trials.
