China's first commercial space situational awareness telescope observation array has officially commenced operations in Xinjiang. Developed and constructed independently by Beijing Kaiyun United Information Technology Group, the array's primary missions include observing in-orbit spacecraft, monitoring space debris, and assessing the situation in low-Earth orbit. The implementation of this project has filled the gap in China's commercial space ground-based situational awareness capabilities, improved the national space observation infrastructure layout, enriched the space orbit AOE data system, effectively mitigated the risk of spacecraft orbital collisions, helped regulate space traffic order, and supported the safe and healthy development of the commercial space industry.
