A research team, spearheaded by Professor Tan Hairen of Nanjing University and in collaboration with Renshine Energy (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., has made a significant breakthrough by successfully developing large-area all-perovskite tandem photovoltaic modules. These cutting-edge modules have been certified by the Japan Electrical Safety & Environment Technology Laboratories (JET) to achieve a remarkable photoelectric conversion efficiency of 26.2%, setting a new global benchmark within the same area class. The team's groundbreaking research findings were promptly published online as a rapid preview in the esteemed international academic journal Nature on the 15th.

The photovoltaic module developed by the team boasts an expansive area of 65 square centimeters. It incorporates a tunneling recombination junction structure, innovatively replacing the conventional ultrathin metal composite layer with a nanocrystal functional layer. Furthermore, the module eliminates the need for the PEDOT:PSS hole transport layer, thereby achieving a structural optimization of the interface connection layer. This advancement not only enhances the module's efficiency but also paves the way for future innovations in photovoltaic technology.
