On April 13, 2026, a video showing a Chinese-made humanoid robot successfully driving away wild boars in a residential area of Warsaw, Poland, sparked heated discussions on global social media. In the footage, the robot named 'Edward' uses a polite gesture of waving 'goodbye' and, through agile movement and dynamic approach, successfully 'persuades' the wild boars that had break into (intruded into) the street to retreat. Developed by Chinese company Unitree Technology, the robot features high degrees-of-freedom motion control, real-time balance algorithms, and human-like interaction capabilities. It had previously performed Chinese martial arts at a cultural gala in Zhengzhou and served as a logistics assistant during the Hangzhou Asian Games. This incident not only showcases the innovative application of Chinese technology in wildlife management but also highlights the potential of China's intelligent manufacturing in global applications.
