Xiaomi Robotics has announced new achievements in the field of embodied intelligence, showcasing a full-palm tactile bionic hand optimized for industrial operations. This bionic hand features a human-like form, with a 60% reduction in volume compared to its predecessor, a 64% increase in degrees of freedom, and an expanded coverage area for full-palm tactile sensors. It adopts a 'bionic sweat gland' design to mitigate thermal runaway risks and has passed 150,000 grasp cycle tests. Additionally, Xiaomi has open-sourced its tactile perception model and related work on embodied intelligence, reducing the difficulty of isomorphic mapping. This progress indicates that Xiaomi Robotics has achieved the capability to transition from vision-guided to vision-tactile fusion perception, which will advance the application of embodied intelligence in flexible manufacturing lines.
