According to a research report released by CITIC Securities, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Finance, and the National Development and Reform Commission have collectively announced a call for pilot projects focused on the comprehensive utilization of hydrogen energy. These initiatives will employ an 'open competition' approach to pinpoint city clusters boasting a robust industrial framework, a variety of application settings, an ample hydrogen supply, and a well-established industrial chain for trial implementations. The primary objectives of these pilot endeavors are to diversify the application realms of hydrogen energy, extending its use beyond fuel cell vehicles to encompass sectors like transportation and industry; to bolster the production capacity of clean and low-carbon hydrogen; to confront and surmount technological obstacles in hydrogen energy utilization; to dismantle barriers hindering industry progression; to devise scalable business models; to construct an efficient and all-encompassing hydrogen energy application framework; to foster the seamless integration of the entire industrial chain encompassing 'production, storage, transportation, and utilization'; to refine the industrial policy landscape; and ultimately, to cultivate a superior industrial ecosystem.
