Recently, AliExpress—Alibaba’s premier cross-border e-commerce platform—entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Austrian Post, forging a robust strategic alliance with a targeted focus on Central and Eastern European markets. According to the MOU, the partnership will center on two pivotal areas: first, reinforcing localization strategies through the joint development of a localized warehousing and logistics network designed to streamline delivery routes; and second, enhancing cross-border parcel fulfillment by scaling up investments in logistics infrastructure, such as self-service parcel lockers, and bolstering capacity assurances during peak demand periods, thereby elevating the overall consumer delivery experience.
