By the close of trading on March 24, the three major U.S. stock indices—the Dow Jones Industrial Average, the Nasdaq Composite, and the S&P 500—finished the session in negative territory. Specifically, the Dow fell by 0.18%, the Nasdaq dropped by 0.84%, and the S&P 500 declined by 0.37%. The tech sector, in particular, experienced a broad sell-off, with most large-cap tech stocks retreating. Google’s shares tumbled more than 3%, while Microsoft and Netflix both shed over 2%. Meta and Amazon saw declines exceeding 1%, and Nvidia experienced a modest dip. In contrast, Tesla and Apple managed to post slight gains.

Among Chinese concept stocks, which are popular among investors, the majority also finished lower. Bilibili’s shares fell by more than 3%, while UP Fintech dropped over 2%. Baidu, iQiyi, NIO, and NetEase each declined by more than 1%. On the upside, Li Auto’s stock surged more than 3%, while Pinduoduo and Pony.ai gained over 1%.
