China has reached a significant milestone with its first fully domestically produced 100,000-ton-per-year solution-process POE (Polyolefin Elastomer) industrial plant, which has now entered a crucial stage of integrated commissioning at Tianjin Petrochemical. Often hailed as the "industrial gold," POE finds China among the world's largest consumer markets. However, for a considerable time, the country has heavily depended on imports for this vital material.

This breakthrough technology, which builds upon the foundation laid by Maoming Petrochemical's inaugural POE industrial demonstration plant boasting independent intellectual property rights, has successfully achieved full-chain domestic upgrading. Presently, Sinopec is actively progressing the construction of another 100,000-ton-per-year POE plant at Zhenhai Refining & Chemical. Notably, the Tianjin Petrochemical POE plant has attained a remarkable 99% localization rate for its equipment, signifying the complete autonomy and controllability of POE technology within China.
