TSMC Chairman C.C. Wei recently offered his insights on the robotics sector. He observed that certain robots currently available in the market, which often showcase actions like jumping, are more about aesthetics than functionality. Wei remarked that while some robots from mainland China exhibit nimble movements, their practical applications are quite restricted, primarily functioning as display pieces. From his perspective, the true yardstick for evaluating a robot’s worth is whether its 'brain'—or intelligent system—can function efficiently to deliver meaningful services to people.
