Lin Xin, the Vice Minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology, announced that the ministry will team up with various departments and local governments to propel the development of the Beijing (Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region) International Science and Technology Innovation Center. In terms of regional cooperation, leveraging Zhongguancun as the core hub, a collaborative innovation network will be established, characterized by "one platform, two corridors, and three pillars". This initiative aims to optimize the distribution of innovation and industrial chains across the three regions, promote the free flow and mutual complementarity of innovation resources, and foster a world-class hub for scientific and technological innovation. As for the cooperation between central and local authorities, policy support will be enhanced, with a "comprehensive package" of policies implemented to aid the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region in achieving significant original breakthroughs and nurturing world-class industrial clusters. Additionally, local responsibilities will be further clarified and emphasized, encouraging pilot projects, deepening reforms, and establishing a holistic innovation system and mechanism.
