AliExpress, the cross-border e-commerce platform under the Alibaba umbrella, has entered into a groundbreaking collaboration with YouTube. It has made history by becoming the inaugural Chinese e-commerce platform to team up with YouTube in South Korea, joining its 'Shopping Alliance Program.' For AliExpress, YouTube has emerged as a fresh distribution avenue, while AliExpress, in return, brings a carefully curated assortment of global products to the YouTube platform. In June 2024, YouTube rolled out its shopping feature in South Korea. By July 2025, more than 15 million logged-in South Korean users had carried out shopping-related searches. Now, South Korean content creators have the ability to insert product links from AliExpress into their videos and live streams. Looking ahead, both parties are set to harness the power of AI technology. This will enable them to fine-tune product recommendations and elevate the overall shopping experience, thereby bolstering the global outreach of Chinese brands.
