Recently, the Commercial and Community Service Robot Working Group was inaugurated under the auspices of the National Robotics Standardization Technical Committee. This significant move heralds a fresh chapter in the standardization journey of commercial and community service robots across China. The head of the working group emphasized their commitment to upholding pertinent principles and outlined a strategic plan to finalize the declaration and formulation of national standards, including the Guidelines for Age-Friendly Design of Service Robots in Community Services, by the year 2026. Their overarching goal is to establish an innovative hub and a robust application engine that will drive the standardization efforts for service robots forward.
