SpaceX released a statement, asserting that journalists had been fed one-sided and misleading information by its adversaries. The company stated that reports relying on anonymous sources were nothing but false narratives designed to mislead the public. SpaceX underscored that during the Starship flight test, public safety stood as the paramount concern. It highlighted that the debris impact area of the spacecraft fell within a manageable zone. Airspace control personnel were tasked with rationally guiding aircraft to alter their flight paths and would spare no effort to safeguard public safety.
However, documents from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) have surfaced, indicating that the danger posed by SpaceX's 'Starship' explosion on January 16th to in-flight aircraft was more significant than what had been publicly acknowledged. Following the explosion, three aircraft had to traverse the restricted airspace due to fuel emergencies.
