China's largest domestically-produced pintle-injected liquid oxygen and kerosene engine, the Liqing-2, has successfully undergone a rigorous 110-ton long-duration test. This test run accumulated a total duration of 140 seconds, with the longest single stable operation lasting 120 seconds. Remarkably, all test indicators were met on the first attempt. Following the successful ground verification of this engine, CAS Space is set to choose an opportune moment in the near future to carry out the sub-orbital flight test of the Lihong-1 Yao-1 spacecraft. The primary focus of this test will be on verifying the re-entry, deceleration, and recovery technology of the returnable payload module, along with the precise landing point control technology for the rocket's sub-stage return. Moreover, CAS Space has established its industrial base for reusable liquid engines in Huangpu, Guangzhou. Once completed, this facility will be capable of mass-producing Liqing series engines, with an initial annual production capacity of up to 300 units. Concurrently, a batch production line for the Lihong series spacecraft will also be set up.
