In December 2025, the General Office of the Jiangxi Provincial People's Government unveiled a set of measures aimed at accelerating the development of brain-computer interface (BCI) technology and its industry within the province. These measures specifically emphasize the need to expedite clinical trials and back qualified medical institutions in setting up dedicated clinical research units and cohorts for BCIs. The goal is to foster clinical research on BCI technology in areas such as the diagnosis and treatment of neurological and psychiatric disorders, elderly care, rehabilitation, and more.

Additionally, the province will support Ganjiang New Area in establishing the Jiangxi Brain-Computer Interface Rehabilitation Center and developing a high-quality dataset tailored for the electroencephalogram (EEG) industry. It also encourages social capital investment in building public service platforms for BCIs and exploring mechanisms for the desensitization, openness, and sharing of BCI data.
