An insider from ByteDance confirmed that to strengthen the research and development of advertising and transaction businesses (including e-commerce and lifestyle services) and improve R&D efficiency, on November 17th, the engineering technology teams for Chinese e-commerce, lifestyle services, and Chinese advertising were integrated into the 'Product Research & Development and Engineering Architecture - China Transactions and Advertising.' This department will be led by Wang Fengkun, the head of technology for Douyin's lifestyle services.
