On November 13, reports emerged that the China Telecom Quantum Research Institute had announced the successful construction of the superconducting quantum computer, 'Tianyan-287'. This remarkable machine employs the same chip as its predecessor, 'Zuchongzhi-3'. The 'Tianyan-287' system showcases 'quantum computational supremacy', demonstrating an astonishing ability to process certain problems 450 million times faster than the world's current fastest supercomputer. Looking ahead, 'Tianyan-287' is set to be integrated into the 'Tianyan' quantum computing cloud platform. It will also be the first to offer its application services on a global scale, establishing itself as China's inaugural quantum computing cloud platform boasting 'quantum computational supremacy'. This cutting-edge superconducting quantum computer is equipped with 105 data qubits and 182 coupling qubits. Its construction and testing were carried out by a collaborative team from the China Telecom Quantum Group and QuantumCTek.
