Three Major U.S. Stock Indices Post Collective Gains, with Tesla Surging Over 4%

On November 5, the three principal U.S. stock indices experienced a collective upward close. The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 0.48%, reaching 47,311 points. Meanwhile, the Nasdaq Index ascended by 0.65% to settle at 23,499.80 points, and the S&P 500 Index rose 0.37% to end at 6,796.29 points. The performance of leading technology stocks was a mixed bag: Tesla soared by over 4%, Google climbed more than 2%, Meta increased by over 1%, and Amazon and Apple saw slight upticks. Conversely, Microsoft and Nvidia experienced declines of over 1%. Among popular Chinese concept stocks, the performance was similarly varied: Pinduoduo, NIO, and Li Auto each rose by more than 1%, while NetEase, JD.com, and Alibaba posted modest gains. On the downside, XPeng plummeted by over 3%, and Baidu dropped by more than 1%.
