A research team comprising Liu Wenjing, Gao Yunan, and Gong Qihuang from the School of Physics, the Frontier Science Center for Nano-Optoelectronics, and the State Key Laboratory for Artificial Microstructures and Mesoscopic Physics at Peking University, in concert with the Institute of Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, East China Normal University, and several other institutions, has successfully induced ultrafast topological phase transitions in nonlinear exciton-polariton superlattices. This breakthrough opens up a fresh avenue for the development of on-chip ultrafast all-optical devices. The corresponding research, entitled "Sub-Picosecond Topological Phase Transition in Nonlinear Exciton-Polariton Superlattices," was published on September 26, 2025.
