On the social platform X, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk asserted that only SpaceX possesses the capability to aid NASA in successfully executing a lunar landing, excluding Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin or any other competitors. Earlier, NASA's acting administrator, Sean Duffy, had announced on X that SpaceX had secured a contract to develop the Human Landing System (HLS) for the Artemis 3 mission, which aims to transport American astronauts to the moon. Nonetheless, Duffy underscored the importance of competition and innovation as pivotal elements for securing a leading position in the space industry. Consequently, NASA is extending invitations to U.S. companies, including Blue Origin, to engage in the production of the HLS.
