In October 2024, the W5000, the world's largest unmanned cargo aircraft developed through a collaborative effort between Beluga Airlines (Changzhou) Technology Co., Ltd. and Beihang University, successfully completed its final assembly and rolled off the production line in Changzhou. Boasting a maximum takeoff weight of 10.8 tons, this aircraft can carry up to 5 tons of cargo. With a length of 22.89 meters and a range of 2,600 kilometers, it currently stands as China's largest unmanned cargo aircraft, offering the highest safety standards and the most robust cargo capacity in its class.
