According to Humanoids Daily, on October 16, 2025, Sharpa Robotics, a Singapore-based robotics firm, declared the official commencement of mass production and customer delivery for its inaugural product, the SharpaWave Dexterous Hand. Incorporating its proprietary 'Dynamic Tactile Array' (DTA) system, which leverages neural network algorithms, this innovative product attains an extraordinary sensitivity of 0.005N and a rapid data acquisition rate of 180 frames per second. Such capabilities empower it with real-time texture identification and six-dimensional force detection. The SharpaWave boasts a 1:1 biomimetic isomorphic design, offering 22 degrees of freedom. It delivers a fingertip output force surpassing 20N and operates at a frequency exceeding 4Hz, enabling it to execute intricate tasks like peeling eggs, playing the piano, and handling scissors with precision. Accompanied by a cross-platform development kit and the SharpaPilot control software, the product is fully compatible with leading simulation platforms. Geared towards research, high-end industrial, and medical applications, it provides indispensable hardware support for advanced robotic dexterous manipulation.
