On October 9, 2025, Maersk and CATL signed a strategic cooperation memorandum in Hong Kong. The two sides will engage in in-depth cooperation centered on promoting the low-carbon transformation of the global supply chain and enhancing CATL's global supply chain management. CATL has become Maersk's preferred battery technology partner, and the two sides will jointly explore the electrification of Maersk's container ship fleet, port ecosystems, inland transportation, and warehousing, covering the application of power system design, energy management, and battery recycling solutions.
