Back in August 2025, Microsoft embarked on testing enhancements for the dark - mode feature in the Windows 11 preview version. Now, these improvements have been officially rolled out. This particular update is mainly focused on enhancing the consistency of the dark - mode experience. Specifically, it optimizes how dark mode functions during common file operations like copying, moving, and deleting files within File Explorer. Prior to this, there was a visual inconsistency issue since some dialog boxes hadn't been properly adapted to the dark - mode theme, creating a disjointed visual effect.
