On October 5 (local time), U.S. aerospace company Firefly announced that it had reached a definitive agreement to acquire national security technology company SciTec for a total transaction value of approximately US$855 million. Of this amount, US$300 million will be paid in cash, and the remaining US$555 million will be paid to SciTec shareholders in the form of Firefly company stock at a price of US$50 per share.
