The two heat-absorbing towers, each towering to an impressive height of roughly 200 meters, of the world's inaugural 'two-tower-one-unit' CSP and energy storage power station, which is a component of the 700 MW 'CSP and Energy Storage Plus' initiative in Guazhou undertaken by Three Gorges Hengji Nengmai, have been lit up concurrently and have now embarked on the full-system trial operation phase. This achievement signifies a significant leap forward in tower-type CSP technology, diverging from the conventional 'single-tower-single-unit' framework and paving the way for a novel technological approach to power supply in China's expansive wind and solar energy bases. The power station boasts an installed capacity of 100 MW and employs an innovative setup featuring 'two heat-absorbing towers plus one steam turbine generator set'.
