IEEE Spectrum recently released an article highlighting that multiple Unitree Technology robots exhibit significant security vulnerabilities in their configuration interfaces for Wi-Fi connection via BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy). These vulnerabilities could enable attackers to obtain top-tier permissions. In reaction to this, Unitree Technology issued a statement on its social media platforms, acknowledging that it had received reports from some users regarding security vulnerabilities and network-related problems in its robot products. The company promptly commenced repair efforts and has successfully completed most of the vulnerability fixes, with updates set to be deployed shortly.
