A research report from CITIC Securities reveals that on September 27, 2025, China made a significant stride in satellite internet development. Utilizing the Long March 6A carrier rocket at the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center, the nation successfully launched 11 low-Earth orbit satellites dedicated to the satellite internet network.

Prior to this achievement, on August 27, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) published the "Guiding Opinions on Optimizing Business Access to Promote the Development of the Satellite Communications Industry." This move aimed to streamline and facilitate the orderly opening up of satellite communications services.

Following closely, on September 8, the MIIT granted China Unicom a business license for satellite mobile communications services, marking another key step in the industry's growth.

In the realm of private rocket enterprises, Chinese companies have achieved a notable milestone. They have successfully completed the inaugural flight of a liquid-fueled rocket akin to Falcon 1. Looking ahead, their next ambitious goal is to develop a reusable medium-lift carrier rocket on par with Falcon 9. This cutting-edge rocket is anticipated to make its debut flight by 2025.
