On September 24th (local time), British police apprehended a man in his 40s in West Sussex, located in southern England. The individual is suspected of being involved in a cyberattack that targeted Collins Aerospace in the United States. This cyberattack wreaked havoc on the boarding and check-in systems at London Heathrow Airport, as well as at several other airports throughout Europe. The disruption caused by the attack resulted in substantial flight delays and cancellations. Earlier, on the 19th of the same month, Collins Aerospace had already been the victim of a cyberattack, which had a severe impact on airport operations in multiple European nations. As of the 23rd (local time), flights in several countries were still experiencing the aftermath of the attacks, and investigations into the incidents are currently in progress.
