The company has set an ambitious goal to commercialize fusion energy by 2050, with collaborative R&D efforts slated for Shanghai and Chengdu. A number of experts specializing in controllable nuclear fusion have verified that the company intends to construct a novel fusion experimental apparatus, dubbed the 'China Huanliu No. 4 (HL-4)', in Shanghai. This device will serve as a platform to test and validate the high-temperature superconducting magnets developed in the city, marking a significant step forward in China's pursuit of sustainable and clean energy solutions.
