According to a report by 36Kr, from September 19th to 21st, the S1500 Floating Airborne Wind Energy System (SAWES), an innovative creation independently developed by Beijing Linyi Yunchuan Energy Technology Co., Ltd., underwent a series of rigorous tests at the Naomao Lake Base in Hami, Xinjiang. These tests were conducted amidst the challenging conditions of the Gobi Desert, and included the successful completion of full assembly, shape retention pressure testing, as well as day-and-night deployment and retrieval tests in strong winds. This milestone achievement signifies the successful test flight of the world's inaugural megawatt-scale commercial airborne wind power system, marking a significant leap forward in renewable energy technology.
